Parma 1-0 Empoli

Parma continue to struggle offensively since the departure of Gilardino.  Parma managed to score 1 goal against Palermo and last week couldn't score against Chievo lossing 1-0!  They get a bit of a break here playing at home and playing against a newly promoted Empoli club.  Empoli have 2 losses and zero goals to show but in their defence have played two tough opponents in Udinese and Juventus.  Last week they were trashed 4-0 against what was basically a second string Juventus team so i would think they would take care of their own end first and look to score on the counter.  Empoli are going with the same exact line up as they had in the Juventus game and i am sure they will look for 1 point.  I don't look for an exciting game here as both offensive are anaemic, and a draw wouldn't be out of the question.  NO BETS.

Inter 3-0 Lecce

Inter losing to Palermo was not that big of a deal IMO, as we had Palermo in that game, not to lose.  Inter basically had rested some of their more important players and Palermo took them to school dominating most of the game.  One thing about Inter is their offensive power which they continue to have this season already firing 31 shots towards the net and landing 15 in two games.  Lecce are struggling to score having only scored 1 goal in their two games.  Last week they tied newly promoted Ascoli 0-0, and although Lecce controlled most of the game.  Not being able to score at home against a promoted team, spells trouble to me in this one as they will have to travel and play against one of the hottest strikers in the world at the moment in Adriano.  Inter will win, but the payout is brutal.  If Inter are on their game this one could get ugly and high scoring and 4-1 wouldn't be out of the question.  Inter played last Saturday, then a midweek cup game.  They play today and then Serie A play again on Wednesday, perhaps watching this one might be the best way to go because Inter could take another approach and play only as hard as they need to in order to get 3 points NO BETS.

Cagliari 1-1 Messina

Not very interested in this match as any outcome is possible.  These two have seen there fair share of each other many times as both played in Serie B for a long time.  Cagliari are always tough at home, but Messina will have a lot of supporters because they are located close  to Cagliari NO BETS.

Fiorentina 4-2 Udinese

Too many people giving Fiorentina 3 points in this one before its played.  Udinese played a cup game mid week, which makes that 2 games in a 7 day span something Udinese are not use to.  Throw in the fact that Serie A will play on Wednesday and you can bet Udinese will have a few line up changes.  Fiorentina are always dangerous upfront with the combo of Bojinov and Luca Toni.  Those two alone could give the Udinese defence fits.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Udinese get 1 point from this one.  NO BETS.

Juventus 2-1 Ascoli

Juventus will not take Ascoli lightly as they saw what happened when Ascoil played Milan to a 0-0 draw in week 1.  Juventus wins here, but the price is bad.  NO BETS.

Reggina 1-3 Chievo

Another game that i have zero interest in.  Reggina are pathetic at best and really lack skilled players.  Their only decent player might be their captain, De Rosa and he wont suit up for this one.  Chievo lack an offensive game and on the road, they traditionally score even less.  A draw isn't out of the question here.  NO BETS.

Siena 1-2 Palermo

Tough game to gauge here.  Palermo were up 3-0 against Inter last week before Inter knew what happened.  In all fairness however, Inter had a lot of second string players and didn't seem too interested in that match.  Palermo are very strong and have started the season off very well with a win and a draw, but going to Siena might not be as easy as it sounds.  Siena are without Mr. Everything, Chiesa for this one, but some how they always find a way to play decent soccer at home.  Everything in this one points to a low scoring draw, perhaps 0-0 or 1-1.  NO BETS.

Sampdoria 2-1 Milan

Anytime I can get Milan at a decent price pencil me in.  They started the season off with a draw against newly promoted Ascoli, in a game they dominated, but took rather lightly.  They won their second game, but for this one will need all 3 points in order to stay close to a Juventus team that should beat Ascoli.  Both Sampdoria and Milan played mid week cup games, but the advantage here clearly goes to Milan.  Sampdoria had to travel to Portugal for their cup game, while Milan played at home.  Secondly, Sampdoria are not a team that is use to playing 2 games in 7 day span.  Lastly, Milan have a deeper and more talented bench than that of Sampdoria.  Gilardino will be up front for Milan from the start and I don't know if Sampdoria have anyone defensively that can contain him.  In what should be a low scoring game.  I will support the better team at a nice price.

Lazio 3-1 Treviso

Two terrible teams meet up when these two take the field.  Treviso are newly promoted to Serie A and in their first two game have only landed 2 shots on goal.  Lazio are always bad defensively, and are favoured in this one.  Backing a favored Lazio side is never a good idea as they don't bode very well in a favourites role.  I also expect Treviso to get 1 point from this one, while Lazio will surely go for 3.  NO BETS.

Livorno 0-0 Roma

Roma have looked somewhat impressive in their first two games and they get my support here on the road.  Livorno are decent and at home always play good soccer, but I think their defence lacks some speed here to stay with the quick Roma forwards.  Montella, Mancini, Cassano, Totti are all players that will cause Livorno's defence some problems.  Also, a player like Totti usually can dominate a team such as Livorno and if he does, then Roma should win here.  A draw, worries me a little so the wager will be moderate.
