Empoli 1-0 Roma

Latest rumours are that Totti may not play here and Cassano will most likely not even suit up for personal reasons.  Either way, it shouldn't matter to much as I think Roma tend to play better when many of their star player are absent.  Roma have been a little unlucky this season and when they play like they are suppose to, they can be a top 5 team.  Their defence can at times be porous, but when they are on, their back 4 might be the 2nd best in the league.  Midfield wise this season, possibly only Inter  have shown me better on a consistent basis. On the road this season, Roma has yet to allow a single goal in their 3 games.  Empoli have looked decent at home winning twice and losing only to Juventus.  A closer look however shows us that Empoli at home have beaten a terrible Cagliari team and a Lecce team that before last week had only scored 2 goals in 5 games, which called for the firing of their coach.  Empoli will also be without their main forward in Gasparetto, which isn't a good sign for a team who struggles to score.  Roma have enough to win here and backing them on the asian of -0.25 will only have us losing half our wager in case of a draw.

Lazio 1-0 Fiorentina

Not sure how this one will play out but I will go with the obvious and back this one to go OVER 2.5 goals as I think one of these two might score 2 or 3 alone.  Fiorentina have played 6 games and 5 of those have gone over 2.5 goals.  In fact, in each of  3 of there games they've allowed opponents to net 2 goals.  Lazio have a terrible defence and Luca Toni for Fiorentina night have his way with them.  One thing however, is that Lazio will counter and press up front and Fiorentina don't exactly have the best defence.  Lazio have yet to lose at home 3-0-0 and in that span have scored 8 and allowed 3.

Bet:  Over 2.5 goals

Reggina 2-0 Lecce

While its never a good idea to ask a bad team to win for you.  I like what Reggina have done lately and I don't like the way Lecce have looked this season.  In Lecce's first 5 games they only scored 2 goals, which caused their coach to get sacked.  Last week they debut a new coach for their home game and won 3-0.  Not as impressive as it looks when you consider two things.  First of all, most new teams seem to win their new coaches debuting game.  Secondly, they beat Cagliari and Cagliari are infamous for being very very bad travellers.  IMO, Lecce are still a terrible team and until they show me something on the road, im  not about to back them.  Reggina have played a very difficult schedule in their last 3 games.  Those last 3 included, Milan, Palermo and Udinese, all three of which are in CL at the moment.  Against Milan they travelled and barely lost 2-1.  At home they beat Udinese 2-0 and the week prior they travelled to Palermo and only lost 1-0.  Holding Palermo to 1 goal is impressive as is keeping a clean sheet in the Udinese game.  I think the home field advantage, and the drop in class, should lead to a Reggina victory.  Going to cover myself in case of a low scoring draw.
