Cagliari 0-0 Lecce
Cagliari are showcasing their 4th coach of the season but unlike the other 3, this one seems to be getting some positive results. They have 7 points from their last 6 games and although the are in the bottom third of the standings, they have been slowly doing better as of late. On the road, as usual, Cagliari are terrible with their 1-0-11 record, but at home they look very decent with their 5-5-1 record. The thing about their home record is that in 11 games they have only allowed 8 goals, which for a team in the bottom 3rd of the league says a lot. Midweek they actually went toe to toe with the hottest Serie A team at the moment in Roma, before losing 4-3. Scoring 3 on the road for Cagliari speaks volumes of how decent they've come along in their last 6 games. The weekend before that they won at home 4-1 against lowly Empoli, but i still think the influence of coach Sonetti should lead them past last place Lecce. As for Lecce, what can you say about a team showcasing their 3rd coach of the season and still only picking up 1 point in their last 6 games? Offensively they cannot find the net having scored 1 goal in their last 6 and 2 goals in their last 8 games. On the road they are 0-2-11 having scored 6 goals and against a very tough defensive home team in Cagliari, I cannot see Lecce scoring here.

Empoli 0-1 Palermo
I disagree with the books here and think this one will go OVER 2.5 goals. tough to see how this one will remain low scoring, even though some players for both teams will not be dressing. Empoli allow the most shots on goal in Serie A and Palermo attempt the 5th most for starters. Empoli have allowed 10 goals in their last 5 games and their 44 goal allowed this season are the most in Serie A. In fact, only twice in their last 8 games have they allowed less than 2 goals. Palermo have picked it up a notch offensively as of late scoring 6 goals in their last 3 games. Midweek they beat Lazio 3-1, and the weekend prior they drew Reggina 2-2 and going to Reggina and scoring two isn't an easy task. Empoli need to open up to score and to try and get 3 points and that plays right into what Palermo does best and that is play wide open soccer. Someone here will score 2 goals and I'm certain the losers will net at least once.
