Analysis Premier League: By Richard Borrowdale 2003/2004: Staked = 1180, Returned = 1150.43, Yield = -2.51%
2004/2005: Staked = 650, Returned = 636.785, Yield = -2.03%
2005/2006: Staked = 342, Returned = 320.27, Yield = -6.35% Everton 1-2 West Ham Everton have improved a lot since the early weeks of the season, and got a well-deserved draw at Manchester United on Sunday. West Ham lost narrowly at Blackburn, and continue to do a lot better this season than a lot of people had predicted. You'd have to favour Everton in this game, but they still are not scoring a lot of goals. West Ham do look like scoring against most opposition, so it should make for an interesting contest. From a betting point of view, it does look to be priced about right.
Manchester United 4-0 Wigan Manchester United will, in my opinion, win this game. At the same time though, you wouldn't really want to be risking money on them at such short odds given their inconsistent form lately. Wigan gave Chelsea a good game at the weekend and will be no pushovers, but they have lost the last four games now. Manchester United simply have to win to keep the critics at bay for another few days. They are under big pressure to perform with the manager having fallen out with the media. Wigan will play with no pressure and can't be totally written off. In short, I'd expect a home win but I wouldn't bet on it at the available odds.
