Birmingham 0-1 Charlton

Charlton have been far the more impressive of these two teams so far, but how long can this last? Birmingham have lost both of their home games so far, while Charlton have won both of their away games so far. Statistically this would point to an away win, and Charlton do certainly have a chance to win here. Birmingham could've turned the corner with their win at West Brom though, and surely can't be as bad as they have been in their previous home games. It looks a fairly even match though, so Charlton on the Asian could be a decent bet.

Bet:   Charlton +0.25 (Asian Handicap)

Stake:   6/10

Odds:   1.85 (Expekt)

Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland

Not much to say about this one. Sunderland are woeful. Chelsea are very good and will stroll this game, but perhaps not by the massive margin some expect. One to add into accumulators.

Everton 0-1 Portsmouth

Everton are a hard team to work out at the moment. They have been good in patches this season, but have also struggled at times. Portsmouth have been poor from the start really, and generally do not do well in away matches. Despite Everton having a few injuries, they should probably have the edge here, but their odds are perhaps slightly too low. Portsmouth are a team who do have room for improvement as they do have some decent players. No bets here.

Manchester United 1-1 Manchester City

Manchester City are now a much tougher nut to crack than they used to be, so this will be no easy home win. Manchester United have looked very determined at the start of the season, so it is also hard to bet against them here, even though the odds are pretty high. Manchester City will approach this defensively, with a trying not to lose attitude, so Under 2.5 goals looks an OK bet.

Bet:   Under 2.5 goals

Stake:   9/10

Odds:   1.98 (Pinnacle)

Newcastle 1-1 Fulham

A lot of hype will surround this game because Owen will be making his first appearance for Newcastle. Newcastle will be well-backed as a result, but it must be noted that they have a couple of injuries and also have not scored a goal this season yet. Fulham have played well this season, including against Arsenal, but have not been able to defend well in some games. Newcastle are worthy favourites, but they aren't a team to be trusted just yet. Fulham are a dangerous opponent, especially with Newcastle looking a little weak in midfield with Dyer, Emre, Solano and possibly Bowyer all missing. Fulham don't perform well enough away from home though to take on Newcastle here, but have adopted a positive attitude in their away games so far. It is tempting to take Over 2.5 goals, but given that Newcastle are yet to score, it is probably better to leave it.

Tottenham 0-0 Liverpool

It is hard to see why Liverpool are pretty much the same odds as Tottenham here. Their away record over the last year or two isn't that great. Tottenham have looked a bit lost at times though as they try to integrate all of their new players, so this game will be an interesting one. Tottenham probably have the slight edge, but I'm not convinced enough by them to take a bet on them.

West Brom 1-2 Wigan

West Brom are quite rightly favourites to win here, but were very disappointing last time out against Birmingham. Wigan weren't great in beating Sunderland, but at least they won. Wigan won't be pushovers here, but they will find it difficult against a pretty strong West Brom team. West Brom have conceded 7 goals in the last 2 games though, so are probably a little fragile to be betting on. No bets here.

Middlesbrough 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal have a very good record at Middlesbrough, but without Thierry Henry, they are probably not worth betting on here. Middlesbrough were terrible in their last home game against Charlton, so it probably isn't wise to oppose Arsenal either. All in all, the odds look to be approximately correct, so no bets here.

Bolton 0-0 Blackburn

First impressions here are that Bolton are under-priced. Yes, Blackburn have been poor in their two away games so far, but traditionally Bolton don't always do as well at home as they should do. Blackburn are a bit better than the odds indicate, so are worth supporting on the handicaps.

Bet:   Blackburn +0.5 (Asian Handicap)

Stake:   4/10

Odds:   1.90 (Pointbet)

West Ham 4-0 Aston Villa

West Ham are a team to oppose at home, but Aston Villa don't look strong enough at the moment to take advantage. They have played OK at times, but at others have looks mediocre. No bets here.
